Two years ago, I had the privilege to tour on the same bill with Miho Hatori. She, along with Yuka Honda, is Cibo Matto. They are one of the dopest groups I’ve ever seen. Two Tokyo-born musicians from New York, Miho and Yuka met while playing rocks shows.

They’ve done numerous collaborations with the Beastie Boys, Sean Lennon, and many others. Cibo Matto will give the Dust Brothers a run for their money. Yuka is a great producer, and is a pioneer playing the sampler live.

Working on the mixtape, I revisted their old material from the late 90′s. Check it out. It’s definitely something you haven’t heard before.
